Tayco's
Certification
Our
certification testifies to our ability to produce a fire door lining
to the design, specification and standard of workmanship
required, so that in the event of a fire, our lining will perform
in a manner similar to the door manufacturer’s
sample when tested and certified.
Tayco employed a specialist consultant to prepare a Quality Management
Scheme to I.S.O.
9001-2000 with special consideration given to fire door lining manufacture.
Warrington
Certification Ltd., a United Kingdom Accreditation Service (U.K.A.S.)
approved laboratory, certified
that Tayco fire
door linings comply with the specific requirements
for fire resistance if tested to B.S. 476, Pts. 22 and 31.1 and B.S.E.N. 1634 -
1.
Tayco joined the British Woodworking Federation and the Certifire Scheme
in order to benefit from their promotional activity.
The
manufacture of Tayco fire door linings is subject
to regular quality audits undertaken by Warrington Certification
Ltd’s I.S.O. 9001-2000 standard inspectorate.
Every
fire door lining has a permanent, tamper evident and fully traceable
label fixed to it. This provides proof of membership
of the Certifire scheme and enables us to trace every lining produced, via its unique serial number, to our register. Records will be kept
for ten years.
Tayco fire door linings have gained LANTAC certification for Local Authority
Building Control Type Approval. This provides a fast track through building regulation
approval procedures.
The
correct specification of fire door linings is determined by building
regulations and various British and European standards.
Tayco was founded in 1985 as a dedicated specialist
door lining manufacturer. Experience enables us to provide authoritative
guidance to ensure
that fire door assemblies meet and exceed the criteria
set by today’s more
rigorous standards.
